About me:
My journey in photography began during time spent in the Boy Scouts of America in the mid 1960's. As a teenager I started taking photographs with a camera known as a "Rangefinder". I soon graduated to a "Twin Lens Reflex Camera" that was given to me as a wedding gift. I spent many years shooting black & white film during time spent in military service. After two tours of duty in the United States Air Force, I spent the next four years studying photography at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California.

The journey continues:
After retiring from the US Postal Service in 2007, I began to concentrate on spending more time with my camera and also my other passion of playing music with friends. Both of which seem to compete with each other at various times.

I enjoy capturing the essence of life and nature through the lens of my camera. I recently moved from the world of film to that of digital photography. I am currently a member of a local camera club in my hometown. I believe that being a member of a camera club gives the opportunity to learn and also expand on what I already know about the craft of photography. It is also a great social network.

One must be willing to learn from others in order to become more succesful in all of lifes adventures, be it negative or positive, preferably the latter.

My current body of work is nature and landscape and is concentrated to the Pacific Northwest and the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.I truly love the nature of photography.
